Its extraordinary, distortion-canceling, quad-differential design consists of four complete amplifier circuits, whose outputs are combined in the unique McIntosh-crafted autoformers. This delivers absolute transparency and musical accuracy into loads of 2, 4, or 8-Ohms.

The new three-dimensional glass faceplate design of the MC402 adds elegance, while the illuminated peak-responding meters show the true output, regardless of load. And its power guard indicators, remote power control and fiber-optic light diffuser illumination round out an impressive feature list.
